CommonLit.org is a free online literacy tool that features texts in English and Spanish for multiple grade levels and interests. You will need to create a free account to use the site. If you need hard copies of texts, please send an email to nhollenweger@vineland.org. The short stories or nonfiction articles you choose must be school appropriate. You may not use texts that are used within the VPS curriculum. Short stories or nonfiction selected from CommonLit.org must be at a high school grade level (9-12).

Students should come to school in September ready to turn in their summer reading assignment.

How do I turn in my assignment ?

Share your assignment, completed as a Google doc, with your 2020-2021 English/LA teacher. (Preferred)
Bring hard copies to school with you in September.

Are we supposed to make 3 copies for all 3 news articles?

Yes, you should make three "copies" in Google of the task sheet. (Click File and Make a Copy) One for each article you read.
