Women's History Month is celebrated, in the Unites States, during the month of March and is dedicated to celebrating women's contributions to history, culture and society.
The VHS NORTH & SOUTH Library will be hosting Service Learning Opportunities for Women's History Month. Feel free to choose one, two or all three of these opportunities. All students who are interested must submit their works to Mrs. Fiori (hfiori@vineland.org) in the North, and Mrs. Reynolds (nreynolds@vineland.org) in the South, by March 31st.
A few simple words to acknowledge how another woman has inspired you can mean a lot to her. Maybe they’re a role model, or a friend who helped you through a tough time. Maybe you just admire certain qualities about them and don’t say so enough. A show of gratitude is a meaningful gesture. Send the note to the individual and upload a copy to Genesis for verification.
Create a Mint Tin Book Report. Earn 5 HOURS
See sample image below. Students will create a book report on any woman in history. You will need a mint tin and paper template. The template is available in the North & South Library. Please make sure it is neat, colorful and filled with information. Tins will be put on display in the Library.
It must include:
Top Cover – Book Title, Author, Picture (in color)
Inside Top – Picture of a scene that stood out to you (in color)
8 panel accordion: Template available in the North and South Library

PRINT it out and bring it to the North Media Center. Make sure your name is printed on the front, so we can hang them up. Also, screen shot who you identify with and upload to Genesis for verification.
